Rum is the heart and soul of Cuba, and its uniqueness comes from three key ingredients: the quality of the raw materials, the special methods of aging and blending, and the skill of the Maestros del Ron Cubano.

The Oriente region, known as the Cradle of Light Rum since 1862, is where the tradition of Ron Ligero Cubano began, specifically in the vibrant city of Santiago de Cuba.

Here, the Caribbean sun’s baking heat, the land’s humidity, and the sea’s influence come together perfectly. These elements create ideal conditions for growing sugar cane, enhancing the aging process, and adding rich depth to Ron Santiago de Cuba rum.

The secret is in the sugarcane

The sugarcane from the south-east of Cuba is unique. Imbued with minerality from the sea and aromatically sweet. The microflora of this land where the sugarcane is cultivated helps us to guarantee the unique flavour of this Cuban rum.

Only the best sugarcane is used to make the molasses that combines high sugar levels, low acidity, and low viscosity, making it perfect for distilling. This fresh nectar is fermented, distilled and charcoal filtered to refine its delicate, dry character.
